Volunteers provide an invaluable service to RSS and are a vital part of the RSS Team. Volunteering also serves an important part of the social activities we offer at RSS and give members a sense of pride and ownership in this agency. Volunteers have the opportunity to occupy their time with meaningful, responsible work and learn new skills. Without the talents and time offered by our volunteers, RSS would not be able to offer the rich array of services that are currently available. Volunteers serve varied roles including; The Senior Advisory Board, teachers, greeters and receptionists, as well as serving on many committees including: The Social Action, New Member Committee, Menu committee, Fundraising and others. Volunteers also teach classes and assist in preparing the newsletter. Volunteers report that they receive as much as they give.
